Rock Reach Flag is a small game made for LD41, which had the theme "combine 2 incompatible genres".

The theme is implemented by making a simultaneous-turn-based kind of platformer, where you plan your move in a paused world, and the world is only active simultaneously with your move. Think Frozen Synapse but as a platformer and no chaining of actions.

There is also a replay functionality so you can see your run happening in real-time.

Story

You play as Rock, a true hoarder of flags. Guide him to the flag in each level but avoid the rock-collecting roller skaters and - Rock has a weak spot for bats and does not want to crush them - overly delicate bats.

Controls

The entire game can be played with your mouse. See the in-game tutorial.

Extras:

  • Escape: go back to main menu or exit.
  • Space: retry level or replay the replay from the start.
